To do this, we produce steel with the most sustainable and efficient production system, in electric arc furnaces that reduce emissions by 9 times compared to production in conventional blast furnaces. In addition, our facilities and processes are adapted to ensure the maximum reuse and recovery of our waste and improve our energy efficiency. In this way we avoid the consumption of 16,700 GWh each year, which is equivalent to saving the energy consumption of a city of 5.1 million inhabitants and we also avoid consuming 17 million cubic meters of water, which is equivalent to the water consumption of a city of 350,000 people.
